If you haven’t yet seen our new home page, take a look as it was created by Marsha Meredith of 2026. Her stencil art can usually be found around Sydney’s Bondi, so next time you wonder the streets keep an eye out for her work.
Story behind the love catcher:
My art is based on the peter pan lifestyle of the residents of bondi (2026).
This piece depicts how everyone is searching for ‘love’, but once they find it, they lose interest and move on to look for the next catch.
I had very little time to actually get the piece done, as I had a deadline before an exhibition at the Redbull gallery. Luckily I had some very kind friends who helped out, even through bad conditions on the day (rain and 25km winds), so I decided to put the initials of those who had helped out in the hearts. The thought spread to adding the initials of my friends who had got engaged at the time, or had new babies, or just some people that needed a little extra love, and even passers by on the day, and I kept adding more hearts.
In the end it became a kind of community wall of love, with people adding their own initials to the hearts.
